MySQL on Engine Yard:
A Zero-Management, highly available cloud database for your Engine Yard’s MySQL application

Xeround’s cloud database provides unlimited scalability, built-in replicas and automatic failover for high availability — all in a plug-&-play, simple database service.
Xeround’s add-on for Engine Yard provides simple one-click integration between Engine Yard’s applications and Xeround’s Database-as-a-Service.
Initially, Xeround’s add-on is integrated with Engine Yard’s Orchestra PHP Platform, and will later expand to Engine Yard’s Ruby cloud.

Xeround’s add-on allows Orchestra users to create their Xeround DB instance with a single click from within the Orchestra environment. This automatically creates a highly-available, zero-management, cloud database that easily connects to their PHP application.
There are two ways you can use Xeround Cloud Database with your Engine Yard MySQL application:
Creating your cloud database directly from Engine Yard’s Orchestra PHP Platform
At the moment, Xeround’s add-on for Orchestra only offers Xeround FREE plan – for testing purposes and for small-scale web applications. In the coming months, we’ll be rolling out a range of paid plans.
